scmm

The scmm is an additional feature to monitor and check the SeisComP3 system. It visualizes the messages (type, sender, destination, size and time) (Fig. 5-22), the clients (program, connected user, host, queue, uptime) connected to the SeisComP3 system (Fig. 5-23) and the statistics (number of messages, size of data) (Fig. 5-24). scmm includes also a XMLViewer (Fig. 5-25) for the incoming messages. This viewer enables to see more details of the actual incoming messages.
] In the “Messages” tab the messaging list shows the type of the message, the sender, the destination, the size and creation time of the messages.

The “Clients” tab lists all connected modules. The displayed information are the running programms (prog), the connected users (name), the connected hosts (host), the total memory of the host (hmem), the memory of the software client (cmem), the actual memory usage (mem), the actual cpu usage (cpu), the message queue size (q), the averaged message queue size (mq), the object count (oc) and the response time of the client (resp).

The “Statistics” tab of scmm shows the sender of the message (name) and the number and size of the messages seperated for each client, each message group and in total.

The XMLViewer is accessible through the ”Auto open incoming message” button from all tabs of scmm (in Fig. 5-22 to 5-24 “XML View”) or by double-clicking on a message.
